| SMEA is currently embarking on a large expansion programme involving the procurement and installation of additional machines, equipment and facility worth about USD 9 million between mid '05 to '06. These include eleven CNC machining centres, three sheet metal routers, two elastoforming presses, one robotic shot peening machine, two chromic anodizing lines, two heat treatment furnaces, one CMM and one tensile test machine. Excess capacity of at least 30% will be created for new businesses arising from this expansion programme. |
